Description

The Employment Standards Tool Kit provides employers with comprehensive up-to-date information on minimum employment standards in Alberta. Employers can find detailed information and examples of how employment standards rules apply to them, their employees and their businesses. Module 10 covers employment of workers under the age of 18, the types of jobs youth of different ages can do, and restrictions on hours of work. Note: Revoked November 1, 2020, as the requirements it lists exist in Occupational Health and Safety legislation (such as the requirement to control or eliminate hazards) or Employment Standards legislation (such as the requirement to obtain the written consent of the adolescent's parent or guardian), making the order redundant.
