Description

The tangible capital asset project was initiated by Municipal Affairs to support municipalities in preparing to record and report their capital assets in their financial statements ahead of the 2009 reporting year, as required by the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants. The project involved research, developing documentation, training municipal staff, and completing an implementation manual. This quarterly newsletter was sent municipalities to keep them updated on recommendations, training, and events and approaching deadlines.
