Description

Reports the findings of a study to review the safety and the economic efficiency of Energy Efficient Motor Vehicles (EEMVs), also referred to as Long Combination Vehicles (LCVs), in Alberta, as well as to consider the relative competitiveness of the competing railway mode. Findings show that efficient rail and trucking sectors are seen to function complementarily to each other, as beneficial components of the overall transportation "menu" available to shippers.
