Description

This statistic describes the record count of completions by each institution and academic year within Alberta's publicly-funded post-secondary education system. Completions represent the status of the learner, at the program level, at the end of a given session. The data tables presented are related to program completions in approved credential programs at publicly-funded post-secondary institutions within Alberta. Separate data files exist focusing on the system level, or for subsets that focus on either international or self-identified Indigenous learners.

Presents an overview of the various credentials that are offered through Alberta's post-secondary system, including apprenticeship programs. This framework describes the characteristics and criteria related to the credential, as well as the knowledge and skills expected to be acquired by students through the process of earning the credential. The Alberta Credential Framework is intended to foster post-secondary system coherence by naming and defining Alberta credentials in a comprehensive structure.

Presents an overview of the various credentials that are offered through Alberta's post-secondary system. Includes two tables, one which describes the characteristics and criteria related to the credential, and the second lists the knowledge and skills expected to be acquired by students through the process of earning the credential. Description

The Program Completion values are related to instances where students complete an approved credential program (Certificates, Diplomas and Degrees) within Alberta's publicly funded post-secondary system. This dataset provides the breakdown of these program completions by sector and institution. Sectors are broken down into six categories of publicly funded post-secondary institutions in Alberta as defined in legislation: (1) Comprehensive Academic and Research Institutions, (2) Baccalaureate and Applied Studies Institutions, (3) Comprehensive Community Institutions, (4) Polytechnical Institutions, (5) Independent Academic Institutions, and (6) Specialized Arts and Culture Institutions.
