Description

This project aims to enhance the teacher preparation program at Campus Saint-Jean to help address the shortage of qualified teachers to teach in francophone schools, and French immersion and French as a second language programs in Alberta. This project is funded under the Canada–Alberta Agreement on Minority-Language Education and Second Official-Language Instruction 2019-20 to 2022-23, which includes a commitment to improving francophone and French-language teacher recruitment and retention.

Ce projet vise à apporter une amélioration du programme de préparation des enseignants au Campus Saint-Jean afin d’aider à la pénurie d’enseignants qualifiés au niveau des écoles francophones ainsi qu’à l’enseignement dans les programmes d’immersion française et français langue seconde. Ce projet sera financé dans le cadre de l’Entente Canada-Alberta relative à l’enseignement dans la langue de la minorité et à l’enseignement de la langue seconde 2019-2020 à 2022-2023, qui inclut un engagement pour une amélioration continue de recrutement et rétention d’enseignants francophones et de français langue seconde.

Description

This project aims to develop and adapt new digital and print teaching and learning resources for teachers and parents to support them in either a face-to-face or synchronous online delivery context. Core subjects for French Immersion kindergarten to Grade 9 and French as a Second Language (FSL) grades 4 to 9 resource packages will be classroom validated throughout the various development phases during the 2021-2022 school year and will be made available to all English-speaking school divisions that offer French Immersion and FSL Programs. The project is funded under the Canada–Alberta Agreement on Minority-Language Education and Second Official-Language Instruction 2020-21 to 2022-23, which includes a commitment to improving francophone and French-language teacher recruitment and retention.

Ce projet vise à développer et à adapter de nouvelles ressources d'enseignement et d'apprentissage numériques et imprimées pour les enseignants et les parents afin de les soutenir dans un contexte de prestation en présentiel ou virtuel synchronisé. Les trousses de ressources pour les matières de base pour l'immersion française de la maternelle à la 9e année et du français langue seconde de la 4e à la 9e année seront validées en salle de classe tout au long des différentes phases de développement pendant l'année scolaire 2021-2022 et seront mises à la disposition des divisions scolaires anglophones qui offrent des programmes d'immersion française et du français langue seconde. Ce projet sera financé dans le cadre de l’Entente Canada-Alberta relative à l’enseignement dans la langue de la minorité et à l’enseignement de la langue seconde 2020-2021 à 2022-2023, qui inclut un engagement pour une amélioration continue de recrutement et rétention d’enseignants francophones et de français...

This is the second one-year amending agreement to the former protocol and bilateral agreement.
