In 2022, the Government of Alberta engaged with Albertans and industry partners to understand home owner concerns and to identify potential ways to improve protections for Albertans purchasing new homes. Through targeted sessions and an online public survey, the Government of Alberta gathered feedback on home buyer protection policies and programs that were implemented to ensure new homes meet construction safety and quality standards. This report summarizes the what was heard through these engagements.
