Description

The Driver Training and Driver Examination Regulation regulates driver instructors, driver training schools offering driver training, and licensed driver examiners. Its intention is to promote a high level of consumer protection and public safety through providing for separate licensing schemes for schools, instructors and licensed examiners. Maintaining the privacy and safety of students, and the safety of the general public is also an important aspect of this Regulation. The Registrar of Motor Vehicles Services has been granted significant authority under the Regulation to govern the training, licensing, monitoring and compliance of licensed driver examiners. Significant authority has also been granted to the Registrar to manage the details associated with licensing, curriculum, and other aspects of the driver training industry.
