Description

Labour Market Partnerships are intended to assist industry, communities and Indigenous organizations with common labour market needs to identify, develop and support projects that enhance workplace development and labour market adjustment strategies. Effective collaboration among partners can improve their capacity to deal with workforce demands, such as improving the balance between labour supply and demand, implementing labour force adjustments, and supporting economic growth on a regional and/or provincial level.

Deeming order from the Workers' Compensation Board stipulating the conditions under which participants in Alberta Labour and Immigration-funded training programs and employment services are deemed to be workers of the Government of Alberta, for the sole purpose of receiving workers' compensation benefits under the Workers' Compensation Act. A deeming order issued by the Workers' Compensation Board declares persons to be workers of an organization under the Alberta Workers' Compensation Act where these persons may be the worker of some other entity or not otherwise be eligible for Workers' Compensation benefits and entitlements.
