Alberta Health's Performance Measures Information System (PMIS) serves as an inventory of performance measures classified into domains and dimensions which helps to promote a common understanding and use of measures across the province's health system. To support the common use, interpretation and understanding of these measures, documents with detailed definitions for each performance measure have been developed. Each document below includes a detailed definition of the measure, the business context and rationale for its use, detailed notes to support correct interpretation of the measure, technical specifications, and any limitations that may apply to the measure.
