This booklet outlines the basic information that must be on a food label, such as ingredient listing and allergens. It is intended for all those who sell food products directly to consumers at a farmers’ market, roadside stand, farm store, u-pick operation or public market, on-line or through community supported agriculture (CSA). All food labels, regardless of where you the product is sold, must comply with federal legislation.
