This funding was announced as part of Alberta’s Recovery Plan to accelerate municipal transportation projects, including those under the Local Road Bridge Program, Resource Road Program, Local Municipal Initiatives, and Community Airport Program.

Lists the grant allocations to each municipality that receives funding through the Community Airport Program, a component of the Strategic Transportation Infrastructure Program. The program provides funding assistance to community-owned, public-use airports for their rehabilitation and construction requirements. Community airports are considered a necessary part of their community’s transportation infrastructure and provide access to communities for resource industry, medical, tourism and personal travel.
