In November 2015 the Government of Alberta introduced the Climate Leadership Plan to reduce carbon emissions. These reports provide an update on the actions taken and progress made towards achieving the goals set out in the plan. Progress reports outline how the province will measure, evaluate and report on progress made on reducing greenhouse gas emissions as well as other important outcomes.

The levy provides a financial incentive for families, businesses and communities to become more energy efficient and move away from higher-emission fuels.
