Environmental assessment registry documents pertaining to the proposed Silver Birch Energy Corp. (formerly UTS Energy Corporation/Teck Cominco Limited) Equinox Oils Sands Mine. The proposal involves oil sands mining and a bitumen extraction facility with a production capacity between 100-160,000 barrels of bitumen per day. The location is approximately 38 km north of Fort McKay in the Municipality of Wood Buffalo. The company will be applying for the development of Equinox under the 4th Phase of the Frontier Project.
