This protocol establishes the approved methodology for quantifying greenhouse gas emission reductions from the diversion and combustion of eligible biomass wastes to generate energy that displaces fossil fuel sourced energy. The protocol applies to projects generating and using electricity and/or heat through the combustion of eligible biomass wastes in a biomass combustion system.
