Description

The Government of Alberta has committed to Building Alberta by investing in the infrastructure Albertans said is important to the future growth of our province. Part of this commitment includes the construction of 50 new schools and modernization of 70 existing schools. The first 30 of these projects were announced in spring 2013. The vision for these schools is that they will be a hub of the community and support the vision of Inspiring Education. One way to achieve this vision is through partnerships with the community, and school jurisdictions are being encouraged to pursue partnerships wherever possible. To assist school jurisdictions in the development of partnership arrangements for school construction projects, a Guide to Partnerships, along with sample descriptions of partnerships and agreements, has been developed.
