Presents nine recommendations made to the government by the Métis Women's Council on Economic Security in 2017, and the related government responses to the recommendations. Recommendations cover the child intervention system, safety for Indigenous women, support for Indigenous people transitioning to urban centres, Indigenous tourism, social justice, collaboration in the development of government programs and services, and entrepreneurial and employment opportunities resulting from the legalization of cannabis. The Council was established in 2013 to provide advice and recommendations to the Government of Alberta on strategies to improve the economic security of Indigenous women in Alberta.
