It enables industry request for support in working through our regulatory system for new applications and for complex amendment applications. This service will allow applicants to work through the approval process efficiently and avoid unnecessary errors, incomplete applications, and rework.

This IH DIZ EPEA: Guide for Renewal Applications is only valid for Industrial Heartland Designated Industrial Zone facilities during the renewal of EPEA approval. A new facility application or amendment requires the full extent of information submission as required in the Guide to Content for Industrial Approval Applications. After ten years of continued operations, a renewal application is required for facilities in the zone with EPEA approvals. The IH DIZ EPEA Guide for Renewal Applications, therefore, streamlines the information requirements only to encompass a review of changes to the plant over the previous operating period and a general evaluation of plant performance concerning approval requirements and changes to standards. The implementation of this document will reduce the time to process EPEA renewal applications in the zone from an average of eighteen months to six months following the submission of a complete application.
