This guidance builds upon the Alberta Health Services Health and Safety Childcare Guidelines, which all child care operators are required to follow. All re-opened licensed child care centres will also be required to be in compliance with applicable zoning and health and safety legislation, including the Child Care Licensing Act and Child Care Licensing Regulation. In the event of a conflict between this document and the AHS Health and Safety Childcare Guidelines, this document will prevail. Also available in French, see related tab.

Description

The Student Transportation Task Force was created in the spring of 2020 to review student transportation service across the province. The task force's mandate was to provide a report to the Minister of Education that contains recommendations related, but not limited, to: school board and industry responsibility for student transportation; student transportation eligibility; student transportation legislation and regulation; student transportation safety; and student transportation co-operation among partners. The report was provided to the Minister of Education in late 2020.
