It challenges all partners to devise creative solutions, promote sport, build capacity and remain fully accountable. It is a guide for all provincial sport stakeholders to help collectively refine and improve future programs and services and contribute to quality of life for all Albertans.

The new visitor services model supports the principles of convenient, relevant and innovative multi-channel access for visitors; maximization of economic benefits; use of the right tools and resources; and collaboration amongst stakeholders.

The annual report update of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism contains a comparison of actual performance results to desired results for three performance measures as set out in the 2014-17 ministry business plan. Results for these performance measures were unavailable at the time the annual report was released in June 2015. Additionally, this annual report update includes audited financial statements of the Alberta Sport Connection and results for one performance indicator that were also unavailable when the annual report was released.

The report also includes financial statements for the entities making up the ministry and for which the minister is responsible.
