The summit took place alongside the UN General Assembly, and was intended to demonstrate governments' support for action on climate change. Particular attention was paid to the important role subnational governments like Alberta can play in advancing climate-friendly policies.

The report also includes financial statements for the entities making up the ministry and for which the minister is responsible.
