These guidelines have been developed by the Governments of British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba to assist procuring entities in understanding their procurement-related obligations under the following domestic and international trade agreements: the New West Partnership Trade Agreement, the Canadian Free Trade Agreement, the World Trade Organization Agreement on Government Procurement, the Canada-European Union Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement and the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership.

These guidelines have been developed by the Governments of British Columbia, Alberta and Saskatchewan to assist procuring entities in understanding their procurement-related obligations under the following domestic and international trade agreements: the New West Partnership Trade Agreement, the Agreement on Internal Trade, the Agreement between the Government of Canada and the Government of the United States of America on Government Procurement, and the World Trade Organization Agreement on Government Procurement.

The Memorandum will also facilitate information sharing between the jurisdictions, enhance working relationships, and promote partnerships in areas of mutual interest. Without limiting the areas of mutual interest, Alberta and NWT agree to cooperate and share information related to trade, transportation, tourism, regional and community economic development, resource development, energy, the environment, health and social services, education training and skill development, and research and innovation.
