Contains the response of the ministry of Children's Services to recommendations made by the Office of the Child and Youth Advocate in its October 30, 2017, report entitled 15-Year-Old Jimmy: An Investigative Review. The report is a review of the life of a youth who had an open intake and was in the care of his guardian at the time of his death. The report made four recommendations, two of which pertained to provision of services for at-risk adolescents who request help.

The report from the Office of the Child and Youth Advocate made six recommendations about four key areas related to practice and processes with the child intervention system in Alberta. The Ministry of Human Services agrees with all six of the recommendations. The Ministry has a variety of activities and work underway which can be built upon to achieve these outcomes suggested in the recommendations.
