Contains the response of the Government of Alberta to recommendations made by the Office of the Child and Youth Advocate in its report following the investigation of the death by suicide of a 15-year-old youth. The review made two recommendations regarding the engagement and active participation of children in decision-making, and the early identification and support for children at risk of homelessness.

The report from the Office of the Child and Youth Advocate made six recommendations about four key areas related to practice and processes with the child intervention system in Alberta. The Ministry of Human Services agrees with all six of the recommendations. The Ministry has a variety of activities and work underway which can be built upon to achieve these outcomes suggested in the recommendations.
