Description

The Premier’s Council on the Status of Persons with Disabilities advises, reports to, and makes recommendations to the Government of Alberta on matters relating to the opportunity for full and equal participation of persons with disabilities in the life of the province. It does this by listening to the opinions of the disability community, communicating their ideas and concerns to the Government of Alberta and the broader community, and working with governments, community organizations, and other stakeholders towards solutions. The annual report provides information on the activities of the Council over the fiscal year.

Description

The Premier’s Council on the Status of Persons with Disabilities advises, reports to, and makes recommendations to the Government of Alberta on matters relating to the opportunity for full and equal participation of persons with disabilities in the life of the province. It does this by listening to the opinions of the disability community, communicating their ideas and concerns to the Government of Alberta and the broader community, and working with governments, community organizations, and other stakeholders towards solutions. The Council develops its strategic plan on a three-year cycle.
