The Office of the Public Guardian and Trustee, a branch of Alberta Seniors, Community and Social Services, provides services, tools and support for personal and financial matters to vulnerable Albertans and their families. The annual report presents information about the OPGT goals and progress made in reaching them.

Description

In November 2017, the Office of the Child and Youth Advocate released a report which reviewed the life and circumstances of a youth who was receiving child intervention services at the time when he incurred a serious injury. The report made two recommendations: one regarding information-sharing and service coordination for young people with complex needs, and one regarding building long-term networks for young people. This document includes the Government of Alberta’s response to these recommendations, both of which were accepted.
