Environmental assessment registry documents pertaining to the proposed Canadian Natural Resources Limited Kirby In-Situ Oil Sands Expansion Project. The proposal is to increase SAGD bitumen production by 85,000 bbl/d (13,515 m3/d). The proposed project is located primarily within the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo, with small portions in Lac La Biche County, approximately 75 km northeast of Lac La Biche and 10 km south of Conklin.
