Alberta's Ethnocultural Grant supports community organizations to implement initiatives that build diverse, inclusive, and welcoming multicultural communities to help ensure that people from diverse ethnocultural backgrounds want to live and work in Alberta. The grant also supports Indigenous communities to celebrate and build on their rich historical heritage. The grant program guidelines and supplementary resources are intended to describe the grant and assist interested parties through the application process.

Extra-provincial registration of non-profit organizations from outside Alberta takes place under the Business Corporations Act. The list indicates the type of organization, the name of the non-profit organization, its current status, its registration date, city, and postal code.

Description

This Seniors, Community and Social Services (SCSS) dataset describes the monthly Income Support caseload in Alberta, including two client groups: those Expected to Work (ETW) and those who have Barriers to Full Employment (BFE). Income Support provides financial benefits to individuals and families who do not have the resources to meet their basic needs, like food, clothing, and shelter. The caseload is defined as the number of households categorized as ETW or BFE during a specific reporting period. Most commonly, this is reported as the average volume for a specific period (e.g., annually).   The composition of the caseload is made up of single individuals, lone-parent families, couples with children and couples without children. In April 2018, a breakdown of the number of caseloads by SCSS Regions was added to provide greater context.   Please Note: All regions report that the primary factor for reduced Income Support caseloads from April-2020 is due to Albertans...

This Seniors, Community and Social Services (SCSS) dataset describes the monthly Assured Income for the Severely Handicapped (AISH) caseload in Alberta. The AISH program provides financial and health benefits to eligible adult Albertans with a permanent medical condition that prevents them from earning a living.   Caseloads are reported as the actual volume each month and by the Alberta government’s fiscal year. Depending on an individual’s situation, some AISH benefits may also be provided for a spouse or partner and dependent children.   Monthly caseloads are also shown as a portion of the entire Alberta population; and by gender, age, primary medical condition, family composition, employment participation and seven service delivery regions across the province.   To see a map with seven AISH delivery regions, choose the Alberta Seniors, Community and Social Services Regions Map within the Resources section.

The Compliance Cost Containment Program provides relief to eligible facilities experiencing economic hardship as a result of compliance cost obligations under the Technology Innovation and Emissions Reduction Regulation (TIER) (and formerly under the Carbon Competitiveness Incentive Regulation (CCIR)). This dataset lists the names of regulated organizations and facilities that have received program support in past compliance years, as well as the type(s) of support provided to each facility. Program support types include: Additional Compliance Flexibility – Under CCIR and TIER, the quantity of credits (Alberta-based emissions offset credits and emissions performance credits) an organization may use to comply with the true-up obligation for a regulated facility in any compliance year is limited by a compliance flexibility limit threshold.
