Discusses Alberta Permits for Equivalent Level of Safety, which are addressed in Section 5 of the Dangerous Goods Transportation and Handling Act. This Permit provides for the handling, offering for transport, or transporting of dangerous goods in a manner that does not necessarily comply with the TDG Regulations but provides a level of safety equivalent to that required in the TDG Regulations. Permits are only issued if health, safety and the environment are not compromised.
