The North Central Native Trout Recovery Program is a long term initiative to recover native trout and whitefish in the central and northern East Slopes of Alberta. This two-page fact sheet presents the fisheries management objective for the North Saskatchewan River & Lower Ram River watershed as part of the recovery program, and states the management actions and next steps to be undertaken to help meet this objective.

In 2015, certified reference materials for trace metals, ions and nutrients and total phosphorus were sent to three laboratories in Alberta as part of the quality assurance program to assess the performance of the commercial laboratories that generate data for the Alberta surface water monitoring programs. This report summarizes these results and makes recommendations for the surface water quality monitoring program and future certified reference material studies.
