Government is required to report all contraventions and non-compliance by disclosing the name of the person or company who has broken the law or specific conditions, the municipality in which the person resides or the company is located, a description of the contravention, and the amount of the penalty.

Where a rule in the Addendum and a rule in the Provincial OGR relate to the same subject matter or objective, the rule in the Addendum governs. FMP-specific addendums are supplemental to the OGRs and will be negotiated with the applicable FMA holder where additional ground rules are needed to address specific strategies in an FMP or unique physical or non-physical landscape attributes.

This information is intended to provide assistance and further clarification to timber disposition holders for certain topics in the Alberta Timber Harvest Planning and Operating Ground Rules (Provincial OGR) that need further detail to be better understood. With the desire to keep the OGR as simple as possible, supplemental guidance bulletins are created as necessary to fill in any explanatory gaps. The bulletins are not additional regulatory requirements but rather contain additional information to enable the adherence to existing policy.
