Each department of the Government of Alberta is required to have a publicly-accessible directory of personal information banks. A personal information bank is any resource which includes personal information. This list of personal information banks for Alberta Economic Development and Trade lists: the name and location of the information bank; the type of personal information it contains; what categories of individuals the information pertains to; why the information was collected and how it is used or disclosed; and the legal authority for the collection of the information. A personal information bank does not provide direct access to an individual's records.

As announced in Budget 2019, the Job Creation Tax Cut and enhancements to Capital Cost Allowance rates are moving Alberta toward a low-rate, broad-based corporate tax system. If Bill 20: The Fiscal Measures and Taxation Act, 2019 is passed, the Alberta Investor Tax Credit, Community Economic Development Corporation Tax Credit, Capital Investment Tax Credit, Interactive Digital Media Tax Credit and the Scientific Research and Experimental Development Tax Credit (SR&ED) will be eliminated. This document is aimed at a wide audience, including homeowners, engineers, architects, contractors, developers, regulators, as well as members from municipal, provincial and federal levels of government. Background information on each aspect of a RWH system is discussed and relevant clauses from existing codes and regulations, standards, and guidelines are presented, as well as additional design criteria derived from recent field experience and international best practices for rainwater harvesting. An accompanying document, Alberta Guidelines for Residential Rainwater Harvesting Systems – 2010 is a more concise version of this document, and is recommended for individuals with knowledge of the building sector and the basic trades involved in rainwater harvesting (i.e., plumbing, electrical, and site service work).
