Description

The Ministry of Arts, Culture and Status of Women is committed to protecting Alberta’s built heritage and supporting owners as stewards of heritage properties. Significant historic places are legally protected through designation. Owners are supported through grant funding and conservation advice. This document will explain how the following programs work together: designation, historic resource conservation grants and heritage conservation advisory services.

16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence is an international event designated and led by the United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women that occurs annually from November 25 to December 10. The Alberta government and community partners lead activities and events each year to recognize the campaign and to call for the prevention and elimination of gender-based violence.

Description

The Government of Alberta will provide one-time funding assistance to eligible organizations who own or operate a public facility and whose mandate includes a cultural, religious, spiritual, or ceremonial component. Funding will help offset the costs incurred to relaunch gatherings while following Alberta’s public health measures. This would include facility space changes to create no-contact areas, better ventilation, procurement of personal protective equipment (PPE), contracted cleaning services, technology upgrades for online delivery of services and language translation of health related signage.
