The survey and sketch plans requirements for the preparation of a survey and/or sketch to be submitted to Forestry, Parks and Tourism (FPT) and the Alberta Energy Regulator (AER) for a public lands disposition. The requirements include dispositions and Provisional Roadways (RDS) and Disposition Reservations (DRS), on public lands managed by FPT and the AER. This manual does not include the survey and sketch requirements for agricultural activities on public land.

Environmental assessment registry documents pertaining to the proposed Stone Creek Resorts Inc. Gondola project. The proposal is to construct and operate an aerial passenger ropeway system along with a day lodge, trail networks, viewing platforms, suspension bridge and associated utility services infrastructure as part of the Silvertip Integrated Village Resort. The proposed passenger aerial gondola would connect the base area of the Silvertip Resort to an upper terminal on the summit ridge of Mount Lady MacDonald, via a mid-station integrated with the Silvertip Resort Village. Dam safety regulatory requirements are established based on the consequence classification of the structures and/or risks or hazards posed by the structures. Dam safety uses five consequence classifications for dams or canals based on the potential downstream consequences of a failure. The classifications are similar to those suggested by the Canadian Dam Association. The factors at risk that influence the consequence classification include downstream populations, the environment, the economy, cultural values and downstream infrastructure.

The SSRP prioritized planning for the Livingstone-Porcupine Hills areas as a region of high recreational use. It contains the headwaters of the Oldman River, supports biodiversity values, requires the management of wildlife risk and provides traditional First Nations land uses. The Government of Alberta aims to provide a diversity of outdoor recreation opportunities while recognizing that recreation occurs within a multiple use landscape with complex environmental, economic and social values.
