The Activity Specific Recreation Organizations (ASRO) Operating Grant program provides annual funding to active recreation organizations operating with a provincial scope whose services and programming supports and develops participation in a given specific type of active recreation. These organizations attract new participants, provide opportunities to develop activity-related skills, and encourage province-wide communities by developing networks of Albertans sharing common interests. ASRO grants support the programming, administration, and financial sustainability of eligible organizations by assisting with operating expenses.
