Description

Students of the northwestern plains archaeological region have very limited and scattered amounts of historical and ethnographic records available to them for study. This lack has prompted us to develope a new organizational framework which synthesizes ethnohistoric data gathered from previous literature, archaeological assemblages and available ecological data. This theoretical organization model is discussed in detail and applied with reference to the prehistory of the Cypress Hills area, Alberta.
