Ground rules are the practices used in planning and conducting forest management operations which constitute the methods used to implement decisions made in the FMP and other higher level plans such as Plans under the Land Use Framework and Integrated Resource Plans (IRP).

The Metis Nation of Alberta – Government of Alberta Framework Agreement formally recognizes a shared commitment to work co-operatively to: 1- address the needs and aspirations of the MNA and its members; 2- preserve Metis identity and cultural heritage in Alberta; 3- build upon and enhance the Alberta-MNA relationship through Nation-to-Nation dialogue. 4- promote reconciliation. The term of this agreement shall be from April 1, 2008 to March 31, 2015
