This addendum outlines Forest Management Plan-specific ground rules which apply to the area outlined in Forest Management Agreement 9900037. These rules are in addition to the Alberta Timber Harvest Planning and Operating Ground Rules 2023. Where a rule in the addendum and a rule in the provincial OGR relate to the same subject matter or objective, the rule in the addendum governs. FMP-specific addendums are supplemental to the OGRs and will be negotiated with the applicable FMA holder where additional ground rules are needed to address specific strategies in an FMP or unique physical or non-physical landscape attributes.

The Well-being and Resiliency Framework provides rationale for and describes the ways of working to promote well-being and resiliency in Alberta. It defines the key elements of the prevention continuum of services, identifies desired outcomes, supports decision-making on funding and service delivery and promotes an understanding of how trauma impacts development. The framework captures emerging research and leading practices and reflects the cultural diversity of Alberta. It also incorporates Indigenous perspectives on well-being and resiliency. The framework offers an interconnected perspective by sharing insights about how well-being and resiliency are promoted from both western and Indigenous worldviews.

Description

The miyo resource discusses foundational beliefs and approaches of Indigenous peoples to promote well-being and resiliency and outlines an evaluative process that honours an Indigenous worldview. This resource supports provincial implementation of the Well-Being and Resiliency Framework by outlining an evaluative framework that recognizes culturally-based practice and assesses program effectiveness and the achievement of outcomes in a meaningful way. The miyo resource was developed recognizing that western-based evaluation practices are generally not effective when working with Indigenous communities. It includes a model for service delivery and outcome and performance measurement that accurately and culturally assesses the impact and value of culturally designed services provided by and for Indigenous client populations.

The framework supports government's response to the Truth and Reconciliation Commission's Calls to Action and the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples calling for more education to public servants on Indigenous history, treaties and residential schools.

The map in this information product illustrates the location of Alberta's 87 provincial electoral divisions. Electoral boundaries are defined by the Alberta Election Act, Chapter E-1, 2018. Provincial electoral divisions are territorial units represented by an elected Member to serve in the Alberta Provincial Legislative Assembly. The provincial electoral divisions used in this information product were enacted in December 2017 and will come into effect for the 2019 provincial general election.
