The presence of historic structures within the footprint of a proposed development project may trigger a requirement for documentation of historic structures. Additionally, historic structures may be encountered while investigations are being undertaken for another type of historic resource (e.g., archaeology). Heritage consultants are to take an inclusive approach and provide adequate documentation for all historic structures within a project area.
