Description

Results from an aerial ungulate survey conducted in Alberta’s Wildlife Management Unit (WMU) 240 from January 23 to 24, 2020. The objective of the survey was to assess the status of the ungulate (moose, white-tailed deer, mule deer) population in WMU 240 by estimating abundance, density and the age-sex composition. Observations of carnivores, game birds, and sensitive or at risk species were also recorded.

Report presents the findings of an investigation of a workplace fatality in the construction and construction trades sector that occurred in March 2013. A worker was using a Genie platform lift to tape drywall on the second level of a building under construction. The worker became pinned between the platform lift and a ceiling bulkhead, causing fatal injuries.
