Description

The Modernizing Alberta's Primary Health Care System initiative has been established to strengthen primary health care in Alberta and ensure all Albertans have access to timely, appropriate primary health care services. The Indigenous Advisory Panel was established to provide advice and recommendations to help transform the primary health care system in order to provide accessible, relevant, and culturally safe primary health care to First Nations, Métis and Inuit peoples. This report from the Panel provides an interim step toward building a long-term strategic road map for primary health care modernization for Indigenous peoples in Alberta.

Environmental assessment registry documents pertaining to the proposed Stone Creek Resorts Inc. Gondola project. The proposal is to construct and operate an aerial passenger ropeway system along with a day lodge, trail networks, viewing platforms, suspension bridge and associated utility services infrastructure as part of the Silvertip Integrated Village Resort. The proposed passenger aerial gondola would connect the base area of the Silvertip Resort to an upper terminal on the summit ridge of Mount Lady MacDonald, via a mid-station integrated with the Silvertip Resort Village. The Council was established in 2013 to provide advice and recommendations to the Government of Alberta on strategies to improve the economic security of Indigenous women in Alberta.

The all-party Ministerial Panel on Child Intervention was established to explore ways to improve Alberta’s child death review system and strengthen the intervention system. This report presents the final recommendations of the panel to the Minister of Children's Services, and includes 26 recommendations grouped around the following eight principles: co-creating a positive future; reconciliation; supporting families and communities; sustaining cultural connections; utilizing the strengths of family systems and kinship care; supporting a strong, stable workforce; combating discriminatory mindsets, and enabling the change.

The North Saskatchewan Regional Advisory Council was appointed by Cabinet to provide strategic advice in the development of the North Saskatchewan Regional Plan. In its advice submitted to the government in December 2014, the council provided 69 recommendations in six topic areas: managing wetlands and lakes as part of watershed management; supporting biodiversity in the region; inclusion of Indigenous Peoples in land-use planning; community growth and community land-use planning; management of outdoor recreation; and economic development.
