Alberta's Ethnocultural Grant supports community organizations to implement initiatives that build diverse, inclusive, and welcoming multicultural communities to help ensure that people from diverse ethnocultural backgrounds want to live and work in Alberta. The grant also supports Indigenous communities to celebrate and build on their rich historical heritage. The grant program guidelines and supplementary resources are intended to describe the grant and assist interested parties through the application process.

Community Facility Enhancement Program (CFEP) aims to foster healthy, vibrant communities across Alberta. The program has been designed to support the efforts of organizations that contribute to their communities and to create opportunities for Albertans to engage with their communities. Specifically, CFEP responds to local facility enhancement needs and works in partnership with eligible nonprofit organizations to assist communities with acquisition, construction, upgrade, or redevelopment of public-use community facilities.

The approach outlined in this resource was developed by a group within the Government of Alberta that has played a lead role in the facilitation of a large number of public participation events in the province. The Community Facility Enhancement Program (CFEP) has been established to assist in fostering the unique characteristics of Alberta’s many communities. To accomplish this, the program has been designed to respond to local facility enhancement needs and to work in partnership with community groups and volunteers. By assisting communities with construction, renovation or redevelopment of community public-use facilities the Community Facility Enhancement Program will help enhance the quality of life and citizen well-being in communities across the province. Funded by the Government of Alberta through the Alberta Lottery Fund in order to build strong communities and enhance the quality of life for Albertans.
