Description

The Premier's Council on Charities and Civil Society was established in February 2020 to provide advice to government on its relationship with civil society organizations that are addressing pressing social issues in Alberta. This report reflects analysis of input received from civil society partners during engagement sessions held between late September to late November 2022, and offers advice on how civil society and government can work together to address challenges faced by civil society.

Presents results of a study aiming to explore the lived experiences of English language learning working women as they relate to health and safety. Study findings contribute to an evidence-based understanding of workplace psychosocial hazards to the wellbeing and health of English language learner women workers. The overall goal of the study was to consider how to mitigate and prevent harm caused by workplace psychosocial hazards and explore if there are workplace hazards that may disproportionately impact ELL women workers.

The respondents comprised 2,000 Albertans engaged in paid employment in the previous 12 months.
