It is not possible for MEP to change the amount of support due and payable each month. If either the creditor or debtor wishes to change the amount of support paid, they will need to get a variation to the court order. This information sheet outlines the process for doing this.

It is the creditor's responsibility to get a court order and provide any information that can assist MEP in securing payment. The creditor must respond to any changes in the court order that the debtor applies for and advise MEP of any changes in the creditor's address and phone numbers. The creditor must also keep MEP informed of any changes in the child's status (e.g. residence, education).
