This study investigates the major sources of sediment entering Lesser Slave, including the three major river systems that drain into the lake: the Swan, Driftpile and South Heart/East Prairie Rivers. It also investigates sediment transport and delta and breach processes in the lake. It concludes with a look at the impact of human activities on the sediment load entering in the drainage basin of Lesser Slave Lake, and makes several recommendations to reduce the impact of human activity.
