Environmental assessment registry documents pertaining to the proposed Stone Creek Resorts Inc. Gondola project. The proposal is to construct and operate an aerial passenger ropeway system along with a day lodge, trail networks, viewing platforms, suspension bridge and associated utility services infrastructure as part of the Silvertip Integrated Village Resort. The proposed passenger aerial gondola would connect the base area of the Silvertip Resort to an upper terminal on the summit ridge of Mount Lady MacDonald, via a mid-station integrated with the Silvertip Resort Village. A May 2017 report by the Bow River Working Group provided advice on new reservoir storage on the Bow River upstream of Calgary to reduce flood and drought risk, and identified three reservoir options that warranted further study. From November 2018 to spring 2020, the Alberta government completed a conceptual assessment of the 3 water storage options. This package contains the conceptual assessment’s final report and its appendices.

The project would target bitumen resources in the McMurray Formation using steam assisted gravity drainage (SAGD) technology. It would be developed over three phases with a total planned capacity of about 26 000 m3 per day (164,000 bbl/d). The project would consist of three central processing facilities, natural-gas-fired cogeneration at Phases 1 and 3, associated field facilities, and related infrastructure.
