This Design Bulletin is being issued as an amendment to Chapter E – Interchanges of the Alberta Infrastructure and Transportation Highway Geometric Design Guide 1995, Updated 1999. In order to achieve consistent practices with other jurisdictions in Canada, the department has adopted right shoulder widths for interchange ramps and weaving length dimensions consistent with the Transportation Association of Canada’s (TAC) Geometric Design Guide for Canadian Roads, 1999 Edition.
