The proposal involves an oil sands surface mine and bitumen extraction facilities, including associated infrastructure, with a production capacity of 114,500 barrels per day. The location is approximately 40 km northeast of the city of Edmonton in Sturgeon County. The EIA was deemed complete in 2007.
