Description

This document describes four mandatory requirements people in Edmonton and Calgary must meet before filing, in the Court of Justice, any document commencing a family law action or prior to filing a new application, or, in the Court of King's Bench, any document intending to bring the matter before the court for relief, including a Notice to Attend Family Docket Court. The requirements are: taking the Parenting After Separation Course; submitting financial disclosure; taking alternative dispute resolution; and meeting with a family court counsellor.

Description

Contains the decision of the executive director of the Alberta Serious Incident Response Team following an investigation into the circumstances surrounding a fatal officer-involved shooting involving officers of the Calgary Police Service. Officers attended to a residence in northeast Calgary in response to an ongoing domestic incident. When an officer opened the door to the residence, an individual advanced in a very purposeful manner towards that officer while possessing a dagger. The individual did not drop the dagger upon command from CPS and instead advanced upon the officer. The officer discharged his firearm hitting the individual. Medical attention was provided but the individual was declared deceased at the scene.

The Project requires a new Red Deer River pump station and will involve pumping water from the Red Deer River and storing it in reservoirs to use for irrigation. The Project will include the creation of two preliminary reservoirs, one (with a live storage volume of approximately 34,000,000 m3 and a maximum dam height of 30.5 m) located 1 km north of the Red Deer River, on the boundary between the MD of Acadia and Special Area No. 3, and the other (with a live storage volume of approximately 134,000,000 m3 and a maximum dam height of 40 m) located approximately 5.5 km southwest of Bindloss, AB. Under the Post-Secondary Learning Act, the boards of all public post-secondary institutions and independent academic institutions must enter into an investment management agreement with the Minister of Advanced Education. These agreements must include the mandate of the institution, performance metrics for the institution, and anything else determined by the Minister. The agreements are the primary accountability instrument of a performance-based funding model for Alberta's post-secondary system and incentivize institutions to work collectively to achieve the goals of Alberta 2030. This record contains all signed investment management agreements for the period 2022-2025.
