This document contains supporting information for Conservation and Reclamation Approval for an aggregate operation on specified lands located in the City of Calgary. Aggregates at the site will be used by Alberta Transportation and its contractors for public highway construction and rehabilitation projects throughout the Calgary region.

The Spy Hill subject site includes undeveloped land owned by the Province of Alberta and located within the City of Calgary which contain a significant deposit of high-quality, non-renewable aggregate resources. This report presents the results of a hydrogeological assessment of the lands to determine whether the Spy Hill Lands Development Project will present any risk to the existing water wells in the vicinity of the mining operation, and to determine if the mining will affect the surface water bodies west of the site.

The Spy Hill subject site includes two sections of undeveloped land owned by the Province of Alberta and located within the City of Calgary which contain a significant deposit of high-quality, non-renewable aggregate resources. This report was developed to determine/evaluate development options and identify the optimum way of assuring that the Spy Hill gravel reserves are utilized to their optimum levels.
