Description

In this report, nitrogen dioxide and sulphur dioxide concentrations measured at continuous air monitoring stations in the Lower Athabasca Region are assessed against the ambient air quality thresholds set by the Lower Athabasca Regional Plan. The report is part of the Government of Alberta's commitments made under the Lower Athabasca Regional Plan to annual and ongoing monitoring, evaluation and reporting.

This report is produced to fulfil the ambient condition reporting requirements required by the Air Quality Management Framework, which supports the Lower Athabasca Regional Plan.

Presents results of monitoring of nitrogen dioxide and sulphur dioxide concentrations at air monitoring stations in the Lower Athabasca region, and reports whether air quality triggers or limits were exceeded during this period. The report was prepared by Environmental Monitoring and Science Division of Alberta Environment and Parks to fulfill reporting requirements mandated by the Lower Athabasca Air Quality Management Framework supporting the Lower Athabasca Regional Plan.

As part of their work, the panel could request further information to permit a full and satisfactory understanding of the matters in the review. This record contains the panel's fourteenth request for information, directed to all First Nations. It also includes the response received to the information request from the First Nations as well as replies to the responses from the Government of Alberta.
